I am still a huge fan of cats despite the fact that I still don't own one and this is probably just as well as I sniff and sneeze through yet another bout of sinusitis. So I was delighted to find some cat-related proverbs while Net surfing the other day...
"In a cat's eye, all things belong to cats." (English proverb)
"You will always be lucky if you know how to make friends with strange cats." (English)
"An old cat will not learn how to dance." (Moroccan)
"I gave an order to a cat, and the cat gave it to its tail." (Chinese)
and finally...
"After dark all cats are leopards." (Native American)

I like the last proverb. They do become leopards. :) Mine rest over the day.
Curiosity killed the cat, I think sometimes when i watch our cats get in tricky situations... like "oh, a washing-machine open, let's have a look!"
But:
"Unter allen Geschöpfen dieser Erde gibt es nur eines, das sich keiner Versklavung unterwerfen lässt. Dieses ist die Katze." - Mark Twain
Yes, there is a black cat who lives next door who exhibits leopard-like qualities as he stalks through our back yard. How many cats do you have Pina?
LOL! At least they can't close the washing machine door and start the machine, Bodecea...can they? Love the Twain quote - it's so true.
Hahaha, I'm a Chinese but I'm totally clueless about that version of proverb.
Anyway, the proverbs are totally vivid.
