Image from Google ImagesDespite being in the depths of winter here, there is still plenty of birdlife about. There have been some joyous sights these last few mornings of magpies, mynah birds, blackbirds and even rainbow lorikeets darting through the air. Most beautiful of all, though, have been a number of wonderful ravens, their black wings extended as they sweep regally past, coming to rest with resounding aplomb on the fence.

I spotted two of them in the mountains this Saturday. I think that people don't really like them. A pity.
