Start it anyway

It was cold this morning when I got up. Drizzling rain, frost on the windows. Ugh! But then I noticed that despite all this, the birds outside where still chirping busily and starting their day. They were no doubt cold too but they had begun their day anyway. So I figured whatever the day looks like, start it anyway, go on as normal, grab hold of it and see what happens.

That is wise, epecially in winter, when one can't force themselves out of bed...

Yeah, but time is working for you! While we are heading inevitably toward autumn, you are travelling toward spring! The birds may feel that.

Yes, that's true. I was reading about magpies yesterday and apparently they are most active in winter - carolling to one another to see that everyone is ok, having to search harder for food etc.
