Fields of Rye and Cornflowers

I am still feeling rather under the weather, so again my post will be fairly brief! I have seen the lovely photographs of turn-of-the-century rural Russia before but Tiny Happy reminded me of them this morning with a link. This is a field of rye and cornflowers in the early 1900s. Do head over to the link and check it out for yourself - the full image is so lovely (

Thank you so much for all your kind suggestions for battling sinusitis. Much appreciated! Enjoy your weekend.

I hope that you will be well soon.
This is indeed a lovely photo, mostly because it is so difficult to see cornflowers in the fields these days. I usually grow them in my garden but unfortunately this year there are only purple ones growing.

I hope your sinus goes away soon dear and you'll get to enjoy spring to the fullest. Spring is my fav season, what's yours?

Oh.. so these are cornflowers! ;)

Do share the spring over there but only if you're feeling really better! Hugs..

Here we have more cornflowers the last years... maybe because of less poison and more ecological farming? Don't know! But what a beautiful colour. Alos very blue:

Thanks :) I didn't know there were different colours. So there is blue and purple?

Thanks :) I think Spring and Autumn are my favourites. The other two are too extreme for me! Some springy photos on the way...

Interesting. Yes, perhaps eco-farming is the key. Anything that produces more cornflowers must be good!
